Sioux City - Early Bird Tickets On Sale Friday

The Barnes Bull Riding Challenge returns to the Tyson Events Center on Saturday January 13 and Sunday January 14, 2018. Two performances of bull riding will kick-off the 2018 season in Sioux City, Iowa. The action starts on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m.   The popular kids mutton bustin aka kids sheep riding, kids petting zoo and western merchandise vendors will again return.

Early Bird tickets go on sale Friday November 17, 2017 at 10 a.m.  Early Bird tickets to the Barnes Bull Riding Challenge prices start at just $10.  Purchase your tickets in advance to save $5 off regular admission prices before January 4, 2018.  Once again, the VIP section is available right on the arena floor, with all food and beverage included, for just $50 per person.

"Each January we look forward to kicking off the new year with a bull riding close to home," stated Marty Barnes, owner of Barnes PRCA Rodeo.

Bull Riding fans might recognize a new logo resembling Barnes' bull Link, selected for the 1994 National Finals Rodeo and ridden in the 5th go-round by Aaron Semas, on the 2018 tour posters.

Don’t miss the Barnes Bull Riding Challenge at the Tyson Events Center January 13 and 14, 2018. Purchase tickets beginning this Friday at 10am at the Tyson Events Center Box Office, online at, or by calling 800-514-ETIX.

The second stop of the Barnes Bull Riding Challenge tour is March 2-3 in Ames, Iowa on the campus of Iowa State University.  The final three stops include Ida Grove in July followed by Parker, South Dakota in August and the Minnesota State Fair in September.
