The bucking horses and bulls from the Rafter B Bar Ranch will make their debut appearance at the Turner County Fair in Parker, South Dakota on Monday August 14, 2017. The animal athletes are part of the high caliber livestock that Barnes PRCA Rodeo will bring to the grandstand event - Broncs, Barrels and Bulls. The event begins at 7 p.m with tickets starting at $10 adult, $6 children (11 and under).
Marty Barnes from Peterson, Iowa owns and manages all aspects of the livestock, rodeo production and breeding program with his eldest son, Westin Barnes. Barnes and his crew have selected a pen of bucking horses and bulls that contestants like to draw and fans enjoy watching perform. "We are excited to be part of South Dakota's oldest county fair," commented Marty Barnes.
The rodeo company was established in 1950 and continues to be a premier livestock contracting company and member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association. The longevity of Barnes PRCA Rodeo is captured in the marketplace where community celebrations have been continuous partners dating back 40, 50 and 60 years. The late founder, Bob Barnes, once told a newspaper reporter years ago, "We are to rodeo - what Cadillac is to cars."
